The Jacksonville Lymphedema Clinic was founded in 1994 by Preston “Steve” Parkerson. It was the first treatment center of its kind in northeast Florida offering therapeutic treatment, Combined Decongestive Therapy for primary and secondary lymphostatic lymphedema.
Our staff consists of a Medical Director and co-founder, Rickie P. Sander, M.D., Susan Buron, PTA/CLT-LANA is the Clinical Director, who has completed an extensive study of Combined Decongestive Therapy. She is also a member of the International Society of Lymphology, and nationally certified in wound care. We are staffed with Physical/Occupational Therapists, Physical/Occupational Therapist Assistants, Licensed Massage Therapists, and Medical Assistants who are all licensed and certified.
